Perlite is an amorphous volcanic glass that has a relatively high water content, typically formed by the hydration of obsidian. It occurs naturally and has the unusual property of greatly expanding when heated sufficiently. It is an industrial mineral and a commercial product useful for its light weight after processing.

Applications

8-12mesh,12-18mesh,18-30mesh ore sand after expansion, can be used as heat preservation & insulation materials in the construction field;

20-50,30-50mesh ore after expansion can be as covering agent and deslagging agent of cast steel;

50-70 mesh, 70-90mesh, 90-120 mesh, ore after expansion can be used as beer & pharmaceutical filter agents and heat-insulation of oxygenerator low-temperature storage tank.
